mall tours

From January's Fiama (where Dianne produced a charity show - see previous blog entry), Dianne went to the U.S. for a two-week rest and recreation and came back here in time for her January 23 show at Robinson's Galleria, the last of her Robinson Mall tours. She did a Podium show to kick off her SM mall tours.

Robinson Malls are over, now Dianne Elise goes to SM Malls (hmm, with the last CD she had SM first and then Robinson's, but that has no bearing on the subject)... just concluded her mall show at SM North EDSA's Annex, which was attended by many people. She sang some 6 songs and the audience wanted more. But the objective was reached, to promoted her album of course, Committed, with the debut single, "If You're Not the One" and now her second single, "If I Let You Go." Previously, she also had a Valentine show at SM Fairview which they called, "Big Love."

Among the many things that Dianne Elise is busy with, she is now doing a once a week gig every Wednesday at Bela Bar, along P. Guevarra Street near the corner of Wilson Street in San Juan. The owners are family friends. She is also back at Wave 891 for her Vintage Soul 8pm show.

Dianne Elise is also excited that she finished her second music video on the Committed album for the song "If I Let You Go." The vid is expected to be shown any day in April, hopefully after the editing is finished. And oh, summer is here. So I'm sure there are a lot of fun things to do for this lovely lass. And of course, you won't be left out. So, stay tuned. And always, live la vida loca.

Red Letter Night, a huge success!

What can I say? It's more than a month again. Not too late, though. It's only January 6, 2009. Two days ago, Dianne Elise had her charity show held at Fiama in Makati - finally over after many months of preparation. It was actually scheduled on November 30, 2008 at first, in celebration of her 23rd birthday. But due to time constraints, it was moved to January 4, 2009. It was good, though, she was able to get more sponsors and get more attention.
The Philippine National Red Cross is the recipient of Dianne Elise's generosity. She believes that by helping Red Cross, they can in turn help more in need. After all, all the funds that the Red Cross use to help disaster victims come from donations.
The night was fun-filled. There was Awit awardee for Best New Band (and Dianne Elise's sister band at Real Talent Inc.) 3rd Avenue to open the show, followed by soulful singer Thor, soul mistress Julianne, alternative band Touchdown, rocker Miguel Escueta, and finally, Out of Body Special. The host was Atom Ungson, assisted by Mica Froilan of MYX fame - Atom joked about Mica being one of the winners of the VJ Search, while he and Dianne both lost. She also had a guest speaker from Red Cross to formally open the event plus DJs Erie Neeman of Wave 89.1, and RJ TV host and model Caren Mangaran who spoke about the wonderful works Red Cross does not only for this country but internationally.
There was also Ramon Bautista, DJ cum UP Professor cum standup comic, who prepped up the audience with his funny antics.
In between band performances, Dianne Elise gave away raffle prizes, which included 3 Gift Certificates to a Diamond Peel from La Nouvelle Image, P1,000 worth of Mossimo gift certificates , P2,000 discount to First Gourmet Academy, Starbucks planner, etc. She also awarded the person who sold the most number of tickets with a P25,000 worth of cruise package to either Coron, Palawan or Boracay, courtesy of her major sponsor 7107 Islands Cruise. Everybody was so psyched, but most especially the one who won it, Ed Arevalo.
Her sponsors include 7107 Islands Cruise, Mossimo Music, First Gourmet Academy, Sanctuario Spa and Wellness Center, La Nouvelle Image, OdysseyLive.net, Musicrator.com, Chelsea Cafe, Museum Cafe, Cupcakes by Sonja, Gerry's Grill, Urology Center of the Philippines, F.M. Apolinario, Well of Health plus many others who helped in one way or another.
Dianne Elise thinks that even though she is busy as a bee promoting her album with MCA, doing this charity show around Christmas time is doing what every Christian should do - give. In doing so, she gets much more fulfillment.
